CADventures in 3D Printing

About
CADventures in 3D Printing is a 3-day program introducing rising 5th-7th grade students to the exciting world of computer-aided design (CAD), 3D modeling, and additive manufacturing. Using motorsports and automotive design as inspiration, students will learn how ideas can be transformed into concrete objects through the 3D design and printing process.
Students will develop their own designs using CAD software, learning fundamental concepts such as modeling, dimensioning, measurement, scale, and iteration along the way. They’ll then prepare their creations for 3D printing and experience the process of turning a digital design into a tangible model.
Through hands-on projects and design challenges, students will practice creativity, precision, critical thinking, and problem-solving. No previous CAD or 3D printing experience is required. This program is ideal for students who are curious and are willing to create, experiment, fail, and learn.
