Research Library
The Barber Vintage Museum Library began as a research tool to aid in the creation and restoration of the motorcycle collection. The bulk of the information in the library ties to bikes that are in the collection. The library has become one of the largest collections of motorcycle literature in the world, containing more than 6000 books as well as back issues of over 50 different motorcycle magazines, parts catalogs, service manuals, photographs, and over 700 video titles.
All of the race records of the Barber Racing Team are stored here as well as the trophies and photos of the team at work. When restorations are being done, all books and magazines are available to the staff for reference and are a well used tool and an asset to the restoration staff. Although the library is not open to the public, we are always assisting in outside research.
